so it has been forever since I posted.
Brady is 4 1/2 and so fun! he loves preschool, his Nintendo DS and his little brother. He is so social and a total guy's guy.

Trey is 10 months old and just starting to stand with no hands for a few seconds. He is a little more tenderhearted than Brady was at this age and loves to follow Brady around. He has beautiful dark brown eyes and huge cheeks.

As for Brandon, he bought a 2011 Arctic Cat snowmobile last spring and he is chomping at the bit to use it this winter - whenever the weather cooperates.

And finally, me - it's been a bad month. I went to the emergency room for what I figured was my gallbladder, and I turned out to be right. I had what was supposed to be an outpatient surgery that would take one hour. Well, I awoke to the clock showing 4 hours later, and the doctor telling me he was sorry.

My main bile duct was severed, so i was sent to IMC in Murray the next day by ambulance expecting it to be resolved right away, but because of the duct being cut so close to my liver, the new surgeon told me he couldn't fix it for 2-3 MONTHS. So a few days and 2 procedures later, I went home with 2 drains coming out of me - one out of my liver, for the duration until I have healed enough to have the final surgery to connect my liver to my small intestine. I have to go every few weeks to have the tube in my liver enlarged. Right now, 2 weeks in, I can't lift Trey and my family is helping with the kids and housework. It has been a nightmare.

Hey everyone that has given up on my blog. Brady will be 3 in May, and he is so busy - but so fun! We are tackling potty training right now. Brandon & I are still the same old us, but we are really tackling our basement now - we want it done! I also thought I would share a recipe for Liquid Laundry Soap - sounds weird I know, but is works great, and makes 10 gallons. My mom got is from the Duggar family website, and it was so easy to make!

Liquid Laundry Soap

4 Cups - hot tap water
1 Fels-Naptha soap bar
1 Cup - Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda
*½ Cup Borax-

Grate bar of soap and add to saucepan with water. Stir continuously over medium-low heat until soap dissolves.-Fill a 5 gallon bucket half full of hot tap water. Add melted soap, washing soda and Borax. Stir well until all powder is dissolved. Fill bucket to top with more hot water. Stir, cover and let sit overnight to thicken. with water. -Stir and fill a used, clean, laundry soap dispenser half full with soap and then fill rest of way with water. Shake before each use. (will gel) use 5/8 cup per load.

I also have a recipe from my work for Chipotle Sauce - great on fajitas, tacos, burritos

Chipotle Sauce

3 Chipotles (found in a can on Hispanic aisle, usually packed in Adobo sauce)
1 Cup Mayo (or reduced fat tastes great too)
1 TBSP Balsamic Vinegar
1/4 cup sugar

Blend all in blender until creamy - keeps in fridge for a couple weeks. I freeze the leftover chipotles from the can in a ziploc bag in the freezer.

Sorry it's been so long since the last post - i don't have internet access too often. Same old thing, basement is still in the works, and we have the same jobs. Brady is talking so much more, I can't believe how fast they grow up. My sister Alex had a baby girl, Hailey, the end of January - she sure is a good baby and Carson is such a good big brother.

Brady was a lion this year - it was so cute, but he wouldn't let me paint whiskers and a nose on his face. Pictures to come this weekend. He got lots of candy for his mommy :). well, today was my last day at my old job, so since I don't have the internet at home I will likely only be able to update my blog every couple weeks or so. My old job threw me a going away party and we had Costa Vida - my favorite. It was much appreciated.
The new job is ok, it's kinda tough learning new things, but everyday is a little better.

Change of Pace

I started training in the AM at the hospital this week, and I still have my afternoon job until the 29th, so my brain is fried from learning new stuff - my brain was getting dusty ;).

But I feel like it's the end of an era - Work has never conflicted with motherhood until now, and it was Brady's first day in daycare - luckily my lovely neighbor across the street wanted to earn some money and babysit Brady! I will miss the mornings spent with Brady, but money is tight, and I am freaking out with all the recent layoffs at Brandon's work. Stupid companies that employ people overseas.

Mixed Emotions

I have stepped out of my comfort zone and will start a new job at Logan Regional next week! I will be a Secretary in the TCU, but will occasionally use my CNA license to help out.
For those of you that know me, i've only had 2 jobs in my entire life, and the one I am quiting has been my job for 6 1/2 years! Basically I am scared out of my mind. Mainly because we have to send Brady to daycare 4 days a week for 5 hours each of those days. I just don't want to, but we need to. So if anyone wants to recommend a babysitter/daycare provider let me know pronto!

Latest Fashion for Boys

When I walked into Brady's room to get him from his nap, I found my little guy making a fashion statement. It's basically a shrug for boys. He's a trendsetter what can I say. Plus you get to see his new grownup haircut.

so Saturday as I was at the laundromat washing a quilt, Brandon calls me and the first sentence out of his mouth is "you're going to kill me". that's just what I want to hear from my husband who is watching our son at the time. . Brandon was putting that spray foam that expands into the cracks and spaces in our garage. Apparently Brady got ahold of the bottle, and puts a big ol dollip in his hair. Brandon rushed to rinse it out, but it expanded and froze solid.

So I asked a hairdresser in the hair salon in front of the laundromat and she said to try Goo Gone, and adhesive remover you get at the hardware store first since I was afraid Brady would need a buzz cut. So we buy it, go to my moms since it's near by, and it won't budge.

We took him to the hair salon for a haircut, but luckily there was about a fingers width of hair between his scalp and the foam, so he ended up looking cute in his short new haircut.

Boys - sheesh. Good thing he didn't eat any of it. I didn't get a pic of it pre-cut, but I will attach a pic of his new haircut soon! He looks so much older!

Oh, and just to ease a few minds, I didn't kill Brandon, but he got a stern talking to..

sorry folks, i'm bad at keeping up my blog - it doesn't help that I don't have a computer at home, so I have to remember to take my camera into work to upload pics . Anyway, nothing new here, just bummed out that summer is practically over- and I didn't get to hang out at Bear Lake at all this year :(. I really love Bear Lake.

Brady is in desperate need of another haircut, it grows so fast! I wish I could cut it myself, but he inherited Brandon's stick straight, fine hair so it shows every wrong knick. But gadzooks, he is one crazy busy kid - I am amazed at how agile he is - I makes me tired just sitting back and watching him go, go, go. He is looking more like Brandon everyday (not a bad thing I suppose ;) ) - his hair is getting so light, and he is very stubborn like his daddy - not sure if I should chalk that up to toddlerhood though.

As for me, I just miss summer already - but I mentioned that. If I could convince Brandon to move to Arizona or somewhere with no snow, I would be so happy, but that will never happen- Brandon loves ol' Cache Valley...and snowmobiling. I have to admit it is nice to be near family though.

Oh, another thing - my sister Alex is having a baby in February, so she finds out what flavor it is next monday - I'm so stinking excited, I can't stand it - we are all hoping she gets a girl this time, but any healthy baby will do. Can you tell i'm baby hungry? sigh.

Mommy, i'm miserable....

he is getting some more teeth and is really hurting. We've been up the past few nights rocking and cuddling. He gets really feverish when he is getting teeth, so we are going broke buying Motrin- stupid Tylenol doesn't work for him. Anyway, he is being pampered- he won't eat much except Otter Pops and Bananas - his favorite fruit. So the banana pic is from today and the outside ones are from a couple days ago, right before the teething hit again....He got his first few teeth when he was 6 months old, so almost a year later, and they just keep coming.

Knowles Reunion

A few weeks ago we went to the annual Knowles reunion (Brandon's moms side) up Blacksmith Fork Canyon. Brady was fun this year. He really enjoyed the mud, rope swing floating down the river with his dad and of course playing with his cousins, 5 of which he hadn't met yet. It was fun having Brandon's sister Raelyn in town. She lives in Virginia, so we don't see them too often. I would put cute pics of Brady and his cousins, but i'm not sure their parents want them on a public blog...

1. I can't stand bone-in meat,like wings, fried chicken.

2. I am not the best housekeeper, but dust drives me crazy so I dust all the time, but meanwhile my house is still gross - Brandon hates it

3. I have been known to eat a can of pringles during one day (without eating anything else) and that happens way to often

4. I usually go days without drinking water or any other fluids - healthy I know - I just don't get thirsty - and I never drink with my meals unless it's fast food.

5. I bite my nails, it is disgusting I know, but it has been this way for 25 years, I just can't stop!

6. I refuse to go tanning and I put anti aging lotions and anti wrinkle creams daily - plus sunscreen

I just finished my Certified Nursing Assistant class at BATC, and am waiting on vouchers from the state to test. I am so nervous! I know I have all the knowledge, but I still get nervous for tests..... last April it dawned on me that Brandon wasn't interested in going to school anytime in the next decade or so, so I thought I would slowly make my way into being a Registered Nurse. I really don't want to get into student loans, so it will likely take years to get there. I want to be employed in the womens center or the nursery eventually. I had to do clinicals in various local nursing homes for the class, and lets just say I will not be applying for a job at a nursing home. Don't get me wrong, old people are fine - they used to be young, but it just isn't my thing. I sometimes kick myself for not finishing school pre-Brady, or even pre-marriage, but oh well - can't take it back now, and I wouldn't anyway.

Brady to age 1!

Since I am starting a blog late in the game, I will post a few photos of Brady up to this point. He recently celebrated his 1st birthday at Willow Park - he had a great time, but he isn't quite sure he likes the playground yet. He got lots of fun toys, mostly farm themed, since if you don't know much about us we own 3 horses, and we both grew up in farming families.
